SAN ANTONIA – Get ready for a full day of local football at Alamodome High School with the KSAT Pigskin Classic.

The event, which will take place on August 27, will be attended by six football teams from all over San Antonio.

The high schools of Brennan, Johnson, Judson, Reagan, Smithson Valley and Steele will play the Pigskin Classic.

19:30 – Start of Steele’s match against Brennan


Shared tickets are already on sale and can be purchased directly from the schools participating in the Pigskin Classic.

Tickets can also be purchased at the Alamodome box office from August 22 before the game day. All sports fans from the age of 3 must have a ticket.

Alamodome parking costs $ 20 per car. Most major credit cards are accepted. Cash can no longer be paid for parking.

Access to the Alamodome car park can be found at:

  • Lot A – located near the access road IH-37 North

  • Lot B – located near Cherry Street

  • Lot C is located near Cherry Street

  • Lot D – located near the Tower of Americas Way and Montana Street

Lot A provides parking with ADA access and an accessible landing / pick-up space for people with disabilities.

Bag cleaning policy

The Alamodome transparent bag policy will apply to the Pigskin Classic.

Here are the rules regarding permitted bags provided directly from the Alamodome website:

  • Small bags and / or clutches – 5.5 ″ x 8.5 ″ or less

  • Transparent bags – (plastic, vinyl or PVC) 12 x 6 x 12 inches

  • Transparent 1 gallon freezer bag – (clasp or similar) 12 x 12 inches or less

  • Medical Bags Needed – Needed for medical equipment and facilities such as refrigerated medications, oxygen, lactation pump, etc. (Medications such as pill bottles, epi pens, inhalers, etc. that do not require a bag larger than 12 ″ x 6 ″ x 12 ″ should be brought in a bag that meets the above specifications.)

  • Diaper Bags – When entering the bag you need to combine the guardian and the child and keep items related to changing diapers such as diapers, napkins, etc. 12 x 6 x 12 inch diapers do not apply to diaper bags.

Backpacks, camera cases, mesh bags, wallets, seat cushions, transparent backpacks, tinted plastic bags, larger bags, binocular cases, printed plastic bags and chair bags are not allowed inside Alamod.


Alamodome reserves the right to prohibit any item that Alamodome Security deems dangerous or inappropriate.

  • Chairs, stools or other seating arrangements

  • Chains (metal)

  • Costumes (dangerous in nature), including nunchakus, pitchforks, slingshots, axes, swords, whips, nooses, etc.)

  • Electronic cigarettes

  • Firearms

  • Flasks

  • Inflatable items (including soccer balls)

  • Knives or several tools (pocket knives, switch blades, lock blades, metal stars, scissors)

  • Large wallets or backpacks

  • Big hats or signs

  • Laser pointers or laser pens

  • Mace (pepper or tear gas)

  • Noisemakers

  • Food or drinks outside *

  • Rods, sticks or rods of any kind

  • Posters and signs

  • Sealed packages of any kind

  • Swords (plastic, metal)

  • Tripods, monopods and selfie sticks

  • Camcorders / recording device (including GoPro devices)

* Exceptions will be made for those who have medical requirements and / or special needs.
