Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday offered his own commentary on the trial of blockbuster Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard, sarcastically saying they appear to be a “great couple” after weeks of allegations of domestic violence on both sides.
Depp claimed she threw a bottle of vodka at him in early 2015, cutting off one of his fingers, and that she once defecated on his side of the bed, which she denied (saying it was her dog’s fault).
Depp, 58, is suing Hurd, 36, for defamation after she wrote an article for The Washington Post calling herself a “public figure representing domestic violence.”
The result was day after day tabloids as the two actors fought in the Virginia courtroom.
“Has anyone watched the trial of Johnny Depp / Amber Heard? What a wonderful couple, ”Trump said on his Truth Social platform before insulting the Washington Post.
First of all, Johnny sued her for writing an article in a tiny “newspaper” that almost no one read because she didn’t want to get bad publicity. How did it work out? ‘
Trump further notes that many more people now know about their tumultuous relationship as a result of the lawsuit.

“Will they come together and live happily in the WORLD?”
Hurd’s $ 100 million counterclaim says Depp’s attorney, Adam Waldman, called her initial allegations a hoax.
On Monday, she finished testifying.
The jury showed photos of red marks on her face and heard evidence of her ability to use make-up to hide bruises.
Depp had previously testified that he had never beaten Hurd. Instead, he said he fell victim to her tirade and “humiliating nicknames.”
“It can start with a slap, it can start with a push, it can start with throwing a TV remote control at my head, throwing a glass of wine in my face,” he said, testifying.
He described one incident in 2015, when the couple was in Australia, where the fifth film “Pirates of the Caribbean” was filmed. Depp said Hear was angry over the post-marriage agreement and threw away a bottle of vodka that shattered, injuring his arm.
“The end of my finger was cut off, and I looked straight at my protruding bone,” he testified.

Hurd and Depp are pictured on their honeymoon in February 2015. “Johnny hit me in the face, grabbed me by the neck and pressed me against the wall of the car. It was a small narrow sleeping car, ”she told the court
It was during that fight that Hurd says she was sexually assaulted.
Depp’s lawyer Camila Vazquez asked her about the details during a cross-examination on Tuesday.
She asked Hurd why she never sought medical attention, even though she said her legs were cut by broken glass and she was bleeding after the attack.
“You’re the one who attacked someone with a bottle in Australia, aren’t you, Miss Hurd?” Asked Vazquez.
“I didn’t attack Johnny in Australia. “I never attacked Johnny,” Hurd replied.
Earlier in court, Depp and Hurd were shown a “love magazine” in which they write to each other.
In a diary entry on May 22, 2015, Hurd wrote: “True love is not just the madness of passion or the preservation of peace. It’s about having both. I saw in you the real bones of friendship and respect, but I still, more than ever, want to tear you to pieces, devour and taste.
Her story of their relationship was drastically different from Depp’s. She described a pattern when he broke down in a state of alcohol or drug intoxication.
The violence was often accompanied by accusations that she was betraying him, she testified.
“It will explode,” she said, describing how he knocks on the wall before beating her.
