Washington –
The US Senate is due to vote on Thursday for a $ 40 billion aid package to Ukraine.
The measure includes money for military equipment, training and armaments for Ukraine, replenishment of American equipment sent to Ukraine, and funding to help other countries that help Ukraine.
It also includes billions of dollars in humanitarian aid, including aid money to address the global food shortage caused by the conflict.
Last week, the House of Representatives approved the package by an overwhelming majority.
If the Senate approves the measure, it will be sent for signature to President Joe Biden.
