Investigators are looking for a suspect who was involved in a shootout with San Antonio police in a church parking lot on the northeast side at night.

The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday on quarter 14,000 on O’Connor Road.

Two officers were sitting in their patrol car in the church parking lot when the suspect at high speed drove up to them.

After the car stopped in front of the patrol car, someone inside opened fire on the officers, according to the GAP.

Both officers got out of the car and one of them opened fire in response. According to police, none of the officers were injured.

The suspect’s car fled, but was later found parked and unoccupied near a 4,500-square-foot home on Buckmore Street.

The suspect’s car was confiscated, and investigators said there was no evidence that anyone inside was injured by the gun.

Police told the homeowner that the vehicle had been taken out and there were no arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
