Jason Tatum scored 31 points, and the Boston Celtics early defeated the Miami Heat, escaping 26-4 and winning 102-82, equaling the Eastern Conference final in two games.
Miami missed 15 of the first 16 shots in the second game in a row that ended 12 minutes later. The Heat led 39-18 after the first quarter of Game 3 of this amazing series in which no game was completed.
Peyton Pritchard scored 14 points for the Celtics. Derrick White added 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Robert Williams scored 12 points and nine rebounds.
In the second quarter, the Celtics led by 27 points and increased the lead to 32 in the third. Each game in this series played at least 20 points.
Victor Aladzipo led the “Hit” with 23 points. Miami’s top five stars: Jimmy Butler (six points), Kyle Lowry (three points), PJ Tucker (0 points), Max Strus (0 points) and Bam Adebayo (nine points) are 7 of 36 shots. They all served the fourth quarter. And the Celtics stopped Heath without top defender of the year Marcus Smart, who sat with a right ankle sprain that he got in the second half of Game 3.
The Heath did not have Tyler Era, who suffered a groin injury at the end of Game 3. Butler was in the starting lineup after missing the second half of Game 3 due to swelling of his right knee. Lowry (left hamstring tension), Concussion (hamstring tension) and Tucker (left knee irritation) checked their injuries before the game before they were allowed to walk.
Although the Celtics were very defeated, they enjoyed the earliest start of the series. Starting instead of Smart, White scored the first seven points of the game when Boston took an 8-0 lead. He quickly rose to 18-1, and Miami gave a misfire in the first 14 shots. The Heat didn’t get their first points before Adebayo’s free throw at 7:56. Miami scored their first goal of the game with a score of 3:22, three-pointer Aladip, and finished the quarter with a score of 3:20. In the second quarter, the Celtics led 29-11 and led 57-33 in the second quarter.
Game 5 will take place on Wednesday in Miami.
