Dallas police announced on Tuesday that he had been arrested in connection with a shooting at a barber shop in Koreyatown that injured three women.
Three women, all of Korean descent, were shot dead at the Hair World Salon last week after an armed man entered the facility and opened fire. The women received non-life-threatening injuries and were discharged from the hospital.
The FBI Field Office in Dallas said in a statement Monday that the agency has launched a federal investigation into hate crimes.
Police Chief Eddie Garcia said on Friday that the shooting could also be linked to two other shootings in the city.
The identity of the suspect has not yet been established, but police said the suspect is being questioned and processed.
In a morning tweet, Dallas police said Chief Garcia would release additional information about the arrest later Tuesday.
