Activist investor Elliott Management nominated the list of directors Sales departmentboard, sources told CNBC’s David Faber on Wednesday.
The nomination window closes on March 14, and it’s not yet clear if there will be two or three nominees, Faber said on Squeak on the Street. Jesse Cohn, who leads Elliott’s activist practice, is likely to be on the list, according to people familiar with the situation, but Faber said his position has not been confirmed.
Salesforce did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
In January, Elliott Management made a multibillion-dollar investment in a cloud software company.
Salesforce will report fourth-quarter earnings after the market closes on Wednesday.
