The young royal stole the show while accompanying his parents, the hereditary Grand Duke of Guillaume, 40, and the hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie, 38, during a visit to a nursing home in Diekirch.

Dressed in a charming white T-shirt and orange pants, Charles was seen walking around, meeting with residents and staff, and sitting in his mother’s arms, in photos posted to the Grand Duchy’s Instagram account.

In pictures posted last week, Charles could be seen meeting a cute dog and accepting gifts from residents.

The caption explained: “Visit to the Bei der Sauer nursing home in Diekirch.

“The Crown Couple and Prince Charles, accompanied by the Minister for the Family, Mrs. Karin Caen, visited the elderly in a living quarters in Diekirch yesterday afternoon.

“In a warm atmosphere, the guests of the day, residents and staff shared pleasant moments with the participation of the young Prince in a contagious mood.

“This meeting is part of a visit by Their Royal Highnesses to a residential area for the elderly in Luxembourg.”

On the way out Stephanie put on brown pants with a white blouse and a shiny gold necklace.

Her husband looked equally elegant in a blue shirt and cream pants with chic black shoes.

Fans were thrilled with Charles’ appearance during the visit, and one person commented, “I just like the way they include Charles.”

Charles was born in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic and became the Grand Duke’s unchanging Instagram account.

Discussing the birth of his son in May 2021, Prince Guillaume said it was “probably the most incredible day of our lives”.

He explained: “Being able to greet a child who is coming into life is the most magical thing a parenting couple can have.”

Photos were then published when the newborn met with his grandparents, Grand Duke Henry and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa on a video call.

In a statement, members of the Luxembourg royal family said they were “happy to announce the birth” of their son.
