DES MOINES, IOWA – The Powerball jackpot was approximately $825 million in Saturday night’s drawing, but it was not immediately known if there was a winner.

Winning numbers announced at 11pm on Saturday: 19, 31, 40, 46, 57, 23.

The estimated $825 million jackpot is the second largest in Powerball history. Strong ticket sales boosted the estimate from $800 million on Friday, according to Powerball.

If there is no winner, the next drawing may offer an even bigger prize.

It’s been almost three months since someone hit all six numbers and won the lottery’s top prize. Thanks to Powerball’s massive odds of one to 292.2 million, there have now been 37 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner.

The largest jackpot in US history was the $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot won by three ticket holders in 2016.

Powerball is played in 45 states as well as Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
