Lareda, Texas – US customs and border guards seized methamphetamine worth $ 7.1 million at the port of Lareda.

The seizure of 356 pounds of drugs took place on Tuesday on the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge.

According to a press release, a CBP employee sent a 2006 Nissan Titan from Mexico to the United States for a secondary inspection. After inspecting the canine and unobtrusive imaging system, CBP officers discovered drugs hidden in personal belongings.

The CBP confiscated drugs and a vehicle.

The investigation is being conducted by special agents of the US Immigration and Customs Service.
