BOSTAN – Playing the Celtics and the best defensive player of the year Marcus Smart was excluded from the game of the 4th final of the Eastern Conference against Miami, joining the Heath guard Tyler Era on the sidelines of the game on Monday night.
The Celtics said about an hour before the scheduled hint that Smart came out with a right ankle sprain. On Monday morning, The Heat said Herro, who has a groin sprain, would not play.
Boston coach Name Udok said all-star striker Jason Tatum will play; he left Game 3 on Saturday with a blow to the shoulder, but returned to finish the game, which Boston lost, trailing 2-1 in a series of top seven. Center Robert Williams III was also mentioned in the pre-game injury report.
Herro, who missed the last eight minutes of the Hit’s 109-103 victory in Game 3, is one of several Miami players who left the game due to illness.
All-star collector Jimmy Butler was in the starting lineup after sitting through the entire second half of the third game due to swelling of his right knee. Kyle Lowry (left hamstring tension), Max Strus (hamstring tension) and PJ Tucker (left knee irritation) were also listed as starters.
