PARIS – Last in the tennis tournament of the French Open (all local):
11 a.m.
It is planned that the first round of the French Open will end on the third day, and the two best in the lower half of the draw will finally start: the second seeded Daniel Medvedev and the fourth Stefanas Tsitsipas.
US Open champion Medvedev recently returned to the tour after a keel surgery and opens the morning at the court of Susan Langlen against Facundo Bagnis.
At the other end of the schedule, second-placed Roland Garros in 2021, Tsitsipas concludes his bout in court with Philippe Shatrie’s nightly bout against Lorenzo Musetti.
The upper half of the men’s draw is considered much tougher. It includes reigning champion Novak Djokovic, 13-time champion Rafael Nadal, No. 6 seeded Carlos Alcaras and US Open 2020 finalist Alexander Zverev.
Among the leading women on Tuesday – two-time grand champion Simona Halep and Pavel Bados, seeded No. 3.
