San Antonio – San Antonio police are seeking help identifying a man seen on video pulling a gun on a driver in July at I-10 and S. New Braunfels.

The report states that the victim inadvertently cut off the driver and the suspect continued to follow her despite her attempts to flee.

Shertz police are also investigating a report of a road rage attack after a video of the incident was posted on social media.

The young driver could be seen being beaten on the chest by an older man who was also swearing at her.

Marco Alonso, owner of Ayala & Associates driving school, said learning how to deal with belligerent drivers is part of the course.

“There seem to be a lot more incidents on the road now than there used to be,” Alonso said.

He said drivers should not attract irate drivers. Allow the driver to pass you, turn off the horn, move away from the bumper, and avoid making hand gestures that may cause anger.

“We also tell our students that you don’t know what happened to that person during the day. They may have been told that a loved one has cancer. They were filed for divorce. They lost their jobs. We don’t know what’s going on in their head. So the best thing you can do is just not do it. The further you can get away from that person, the better,” he said.

If you feel unsafe, pull off the road, go to the nearest fire or police station, and/or call 9-1-1.
