The pandemic did not DocuSign nominal name as Zoom. But the consequences were just as severe.

The cloud document management service provider has lost 80% of its market value since last year’s peak. It’s the same Zoom Video Communications abandoned how it reached its peak in late 2020 just before the announcement of the first vaccines against Covid-19. The pandemic caused a big jump in demand for both services, but DocuSign had to prove more sustainable of the two. More face-to-face meetings mean fewer calls in Zoom, but companies forced to cut back on the use of paper documents in a remote world are unlikely to return to tedious paper, even if offices reopen.
