Johnny Depp is set to speak today at the climax of the blockbuster in his $ 50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, who has already seen more than his share of explosives.
Entering its seventh and final week of the marathon, the Pirates of the Caribbean star, who last performed two weeks ago, will be called again for cross-examination as a witness witness by Hurd’s team of attorneys.
There are conflicting reports as to what day the 58-year-old actor will perform, and some argue that it will happen today.
Hurd herself spoke last week for a cross-examination by Depp’s lawyer Camilla Vazquez, who stole the show with a harsh interrogation of 36-year-old Hurd and a gentle attitude towards Depp.
Judge Penny Azcarate, presiding over the Fairfax County Drama Case in Virginia, gave each party a total of 61 hours and 15 minutes to present their cases.
As of Monday morning, Hurd’s legal team had 8 hours and 14 minutes left, and Depp’s lawyers had 18 hours and 30 minutes.

Actor Johnny Depp arrives in the courtroom on Wednesday, May 18th. Johnny Depp is set to enter the climax of the blockbuster case in the case of defamation of $ 50 million with his ex-wife Amber Heard
Depp is expected to be the third witness to testify today after an expert on anatomy and IPV during the final week of the trial, which began on April 11.
The court’s final arguments will be heard on Friday after seven weeks of charges of drug abuse, domestic violence, sexual violence and death threats.
Hurd’s team saw the move to summon Depp back to the podium as brave, as his last performance was found sympathetic and credible in his statement that he had never abused Hurd during their relationship.
Catherine Lizardo, a civil attorney, said: “There is a risk that he will have more time to be likable on the booth when in fact it is time for Amber Heard to present her case.”
She said Depp was a “very unique person”, looked real and often smiled, which potentially made him attractive to the jury.
The lawsuit began when Depp sued Hurd for defamation, demanding $ 50 million in damages from his ex-wife after she wrote an article in the “Washing Post” in which she claims to have called herself a public figure representing domestic violence ”.
Depp’s lawyers say the article was defamatory, even if it never mentioned his name, as he falsely portrayed him as a domestic rapist and cost him a lucrative film career, including the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Hurd’s team has convened a number of former lovers, friends and witnesses to witness Depp’s alleged nature as a jealous and drunken abuser who can only blame himself for his Hollywood career.

Hurd’s team saw the move to summon Depp back to the podium as brave, as his last performance was deemed likable and credible in his statement that he had never abused Hurd during their relationship.
After Hurd completed her testimony in a courtroom in Virginia on Tuesday, her attorneys presented the testimony of witnesses to people who were once close to Depp but came out of his orbit.
Among them are former longtime Depp agent, actor Ellen Barkin and sister Hurd.
Depp testified that he never beat Hurd and that he was a victim of violence by his current ex-wife.
Hurd’s lawyers claim that Depp abused her, both physically and sexually, and that he could not deny what happened because he was often too drunk to remember.
The jury heard recorded testimony from a common friend of the couple, I.O. Tilet Wright, who said Depp trusted him to hate sobriety.
“He wanted sober for Amber,” Tilet Wright said. “He didn’t like being sober. It wasn’t fun and it was anxious and exhausting and very hard to do. He was very, very indignant that you need to be sober. “

Hurd herself spoke last week for cross-examination by Depp’s lawyer Camila Vazquez, who stole the show with Hurd’s 36-year-old harsh interrogation and gentle treatment of Depp.

Actress Ellen Barkin said at the trial of slandering Johnny Depp that he once threw a bottle of wine into her and called him a “controlling, jealous man.”

During his testimony, Enriquez said that during Hurd and Depp’s relationship, when the actor drank or used drugs, “there was almost always a fight.”
Tilet Wright said Depp’s personality became angry and paranoid when he used alcohol or drugs.
Actor Ellen Barkin, who met Depp for several months in the 1990s, said during her show that Depp “always drank or smoked joints” or took other illegal drugs.
Barkin said Depp is in control, jealous and angry. She said Depp often asked her, “Where are you going? Who are you going with? What were you doing last night?
Amber Hurd’s sister, Whitney Hurd Enriquez, said she had personally witnessed Depp beat Hurd. Depp testified that he never beat Hurd.
Enriquez said the fight took place in March 2015 – a month after Depp and Hurd’s wedding – when Hurd found evidence that Depp was already in an extramarital affair.
Enriquez said a drunken Depp accused Hurd of forcing him to an extramarital affair.
However, during cross-examination, Enriquez admitted that she sometimes sided with Depp in their disputes, and said she was working to keep the couple together, even after watching the physical assault on her sister.
