Just before 11 a.m., Dallas police said a 37-year-old woman fired several rounds from a handgun near the ticket booth at Dallas Love Field.
DALLAS – All flights were grounded at Dallas Love Field after a shooting at the airport Monday morning, officials said.
According to FlightAware, all inbound flights are also delayed at their point of departure until 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Shortly before 11 a.m., Dallas police said a 37-year-old woman, identified as Portia Odufuwa, was shot multiple times near the ticket booth at Dallas Love Field before being shot in the “lower extremities” by officers and taken to a local hospital. .
Police said Odufuwa was the only person injured in the shooting.
Her motive has not yet been revealed.

While officers continue their investigation, travelers are dealing with the aftermath of the traumatic incident. Many of those who fled when the shots rang out are notifying loved ones and trying to get information on the status of their flights.
The TSA said all travelers were rescreened and cleared through airport security.
FlightAware reports that Love Field-based Southwest Airlines reported more than 645 flight delays Monday.
Southwest Airlines flights bound for Love Field were delayed at departure airports, the FAA said.
Flight departures are delayed for at least 45 minutes and longer as Dallas police continue to investigate the incident.

And at 1 p.m., Dallas Love Field said passengers should refrain from arriving at the airport.
City officials said operations will resume once DPD, along with the FBI and their Evidence Response Team, complete their investigation.
