SAN ANTONIA – Meet the newest athlete of the week from Instant Replay, Chase Denton of Somerset High School.

Chase is one of the captains of the university football team. He is also a four-year member of tennis, golf and athletics teams. He was named an academic nationwide in all the sports in which he played, and was named the first team of all districts as a tight end and defense in football. Chase is a member of the National Honor Society, ranked 10th in his class and has a GPA of 4.2. Chase agreed to a direct appointment to visit the United States Coast Guard Academy, where he will play student football and specialize in naval architecture and marine engineering.

WHAT MEMORIES DO YOU TAKE WITH YOU WHEN LEAVING SECONDARY SCHOOL?

“Probably Friday night, just the atmosphere.”

HOW WAS THE SECONDARY SCHOOL COMING DURING THE PANDEMIC?

“Definitely a problem, especially in the year of Covid, but we went through it and ended up doing well.”
