Many Apple services, including the App Store, Apple Arcade, Music and Maps, are failing. The company status page as of 2:45 p.m. Eastern European time said other iMessage and iCloud-related glitches had been resolved.
Apple earned $ 19.2 billion in revenue from services last quarter, so a prolonged shutdown could have significant consequences. But, as a rule, such interruptions are temporary.
In some cases, an app like the App Store downloads but hangs or doesn’t allow you to download the app. In other cases, the program does not load completely. It is unclear what caused the shutdown, and an Apple spokesman declined to comment.
Bloomberg said the failure also affected Apple’s internal services for corporate and retail employees, and “hindered product repair, exchange and export of goods.”
