Announcing the shortlist for the Women in Tech Excellence Awards 2022

We are delighted to announce the shortlist for the Women in Tech Excellence Awards 2022.

The challenge of increasing IT diversity is now firmly on the agenda in the UK, but it is far from a solved problem. Women are still underrepresented in the industry, especially at the top echelons, and are likely to be paid less than their male counterparts for the same work.

The problem extends throughout the careers, starting with schools, where educational institutions report a small increase in the number of women studying STEM subjects. More needs to be done to encourage the female IT leaders of tomorrow.

The Women in Tech Excellence Awards are designed to help us move towards solutions as an industry by recognizing and promoting the many talented women in IT.

This year’s shortlist represents just a small fraction of the thousands of women who submitted their applications, each impressive in their own way. To be shortlisted is a truly impressive achievement and all our finalists deserve recognition for their outstanding achievements.

Now it’s up to our judges to review the entries and make the tough decisions about who will win on the night. We will announce the winners at a live awards ceremony on Tuesday 22nd November at the Brewery in London.

The Women in Tech Excellence Awards are in their sixth year. We’ve already celebrated the achievements of more than 1,200 women in front of more than 2,000 people – and as the industry’s female HR, marketers and CIOs continue to move forward, we’ll be right there with them.
