The battle over Anne Hech’s estate is heating up as her eldest son claims actor James Tupper is manipulating him and his half-brother to seize control of their mother’s will.
Homer Lafune, 20, filed a petition to have him and his half-brother, Atlas Heche Tapper, 13, listed as her sole heirs after Heche left no will upon her death last month.
However, James Tapper, Atlas’ father and Hechey’s ex-husband, claims Hitch put him in charge of her estate via email when they were dating in 2011, Page Six reported.
“I wish all of my assets to be placed under the control of Mr. James Tupper to be used for the education of my children and then passed on to the children,” he claimed, she wrote in his court filings.
Ann Hech’s eldest son, Homer Lafoon, 20 (right), has applied to become administrator of the late woman’s estate after she died intestate. He wants him and his half-brother Atlas Heche Tupper, 13 (left), to be listed as her sole heirs

Atlas’ father, actor James Tupper (R), however, claims he was put in charge of Hechey’s estate by email when they were dating in 2011

In his court papers, Tupper says Lafoon (pictured with Heche last year) is too young, unemployed and estranged from his mother and half-brother

Tupper also claims that Lafoon is “unfit” to manage the estate because he is too young, unemployed and estranged from his mother at the time of her death.
The actor goes on to accuse the 20-year-old, son of real estate broker Coleman Lafune, of changing the locks on the apartment Hatch shared with Atlas, allegedly to prevent the younger brother from getting his belongings.
Tupper said the two half-brothers have not been in contact since Heche’s death.
Laffoon hit back at Tapper, claiming the actor was keeping him away from Atlas by monitoring the 13-year-old’s phone.
Laffoon’s lawyers told TMZ they are confident the eldest son will prevail in court after the court appointed him temporary guardian of the estate on Thursday.
A representative for Tupper did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

In her original filing, Lafunde says it’s unclear how much money or property the 53-year-old Heche had in her name before her death.
Lafune lists the mother’s personal assets and her annual income as “unknown” in the statement.
He is also asking the court to appoint him as his brother’s legal guardian.
The court will need to examine Heche’s finances to determine the value of her assets and what properties she owns.
In 2021, it was reported that she is selling her Los Angeles cottage on Silver Lake for around $2 million with colleague and former partner Thomas Jane.
It was also previously reported that she owned another home in the Hancock Park-Wilshire area of Los Angeles – a mansion worth around $4 million.
