SAN ANTONIA – A woman from the West Side said she had a broken heart after a fire destroyed her home early Wednesday morning.

The fire was caused shortly after 4 a.m. at a house in the 7400 Buckskin neighborhood, near Highway 90 and Loop 410.

Firefighters said on arrival they found flames from the side of the house. Then they went inside and found a fire in the attic.

Firefighters said the fire quickly spread throughout the house, destroying it. The exact reason is not yet known.

The owner of the house was not present at the time of the fire. She said she was called by a neighbor and then quickly returned home.

According to the website of the San Antonio Fire Service, as many as 10 units responded to the call.

There are no victims.
